I would like to present my project "Wave"
I was making a copy of a famous Japanese artist Katsushika Hokusai
called  "The Great Wave off Kanagawa"
I'm a huge fan of Hokusai's work and enjoyed doing a pastiche of his work.
I did not copy the engraving exactly. I did stylization.
I used my colors and added additional characters.
Likewise, I gave a different shape to the boat and to wave.
This little project was completed a couple of years ago.
Working with a large space or an entire wall requires concentration and endurance.

I hope you appreciate it.
*materials are acrylic paint
I can look at original work for a very long time.
"The Great Wave off Kanagawa" is one of my favorites.
I adore the palette the author used and the mood of the work.
So, I'm a big fan of the sea.
The engraving allows me to remember my best days near the sea.
I am so grateful to my friend Darina that she made a photo - story with my work and my dog wanted to join too^_^
"The Great Wave off Kanagawa" from the series "36 Views of Mount Fuji" is one of the most recognizable works of Japanese art in the world. The artist’s style is evident in this engraving. "
